The movie’s plot revolves around the Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski who’s set out to reform his neighborhood and to protect them from the gangsters that infested it. This fateful encounter happened when one of his neighbor’s teenagers tried to steal his most prized possession: the Gran Torino.

The story revolves around a writer who recounts a boyhood journey to find the missing body of his deceased friend. The moment you see his name, you can easily categorize him as one of the best directors at all time. But before he handled all these blockbuster movies himself, he first directed Apollo 13. It is an adaptation of a popular book entitled Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13. The film depicts astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Fred Haise boarding Apollo 13 for a moon exploration for the third time. While en route to their mission, the ship encountered an explosion that forces NASA to withdraw their mission and the story is about three men’s survival journey back home.
