However, they continue to make appearances at awards shows or public events where there’s plenty of photo ops! Lucky for us, these stars are still enjoying their golden years of fame. They have been in the limelight their whole career with all kinds of glitz and glamour, but they never let a little thing like that stop them from living an amazing life.
Here are some veteran celebrities who made sure to put themselves first before anything else when it comes to love.
Mel Brooks, 94 (Married for 41 years)
Brooks is an American actor, comedian, composer, writer, director, and producer. His career took off as a comic and a writer for Your Shows of Shows alongside Woody Allen, Neil Simon, and Larry Gelbart. Despite this, he has written the hit comedy series Get Smart with Buck Henry. Several of his movies featured in the top ten moneymaker lists.
Mel married Florence Baum in 1953, and they got divorced in 1962. They have three children: Stephanie, Nicky, and Eddie. Two years later, he married stage, film, and television actress Anne Bancroft. They blissfully remained together until Anne died in 2005. The couple gave birth to a baby boy in 1972.
