Edward Curtis may not be hugely well known to the general public, but he did some amazing things. He was a photographer in the 19th and early 20th century, who documented Native Americans and the Wild West. When a woman came to the pawn shop asking for a small sum of $50, Rick acquired her sets of photogravures. After looking up more information about Curtis, he figured out that the gravures were made from copper and gelatin – an old way of creating photographs. The set turned out to be worth $20K, a pretty good investment by the pawn shop.
