The world’s greatest stars can travel in style and comfort that most people can only fantasize about. If it is for their pleasure or for business, these celebrities have spent fortunes to own their own means of transportation, customizing them to their personal needs.

Some celebrities even go as far as learning to pilot airplanes themselves, while others collect them. Either way, we can only assume their financial advisers are not too happy about it as collecting yachts and jets may not be the best financial strategy. First world problems…

John Travolta – Boeing 707, Estimated $4.5 Million

John Travolta is one of our biggest aviation fans on the list, having his own pilot’s license, owning several planes and being an honorary pilot for the Australian aircraft company, Qantas. Travolta also went as far as building 2 customized runways and a huge hangar for his jets on his Florida home, essentially making it a functional airport.

Travolta is the proud owner of a Bombardier Challenger 601, Boeing 727, Boeing 707 and 3 Gulfstream jets, estimated to cost over $50 million in total and his Florida airport home is said to be worth around $4M.

JK Rowling – Amphitrite Yacht, Estimated $28 Million

Previously owned by Johnny Depp, JK Rowling went all out for this lavish 5-cabin oceanic vessel that was built in Turkey by Proteksan Turquoise. The yacht is manned by 9 crew members and can accommodate 10 guests.

It has a master bedroom, VIP section, full-size beds and a bohemian feel with luscious fabric and art deco interior. The yacht comes complete with water-ski, windsurf, kayak and snorkeling tools and a home cinema, satellite TV and video games. JK can use it as a nice getaway to focus on writing and creating more good books for us to read.

Brad Pitt – Supermarine Spitfire, Estimated $3.3 Million

Much like his ex-wife Angelina, the super successful actor, Brad Pitt, decided to become a pilot himself. According to online sources, Brad actually has the certification to prove it. In 2013, he bought a vintage World War II Supermarine Spitfire airplane.

Reports say he bought it for the price of $3.3 million and became a certified pilot to be able to pilot this specific type of aircraft by himself. Brad was busy recently with several new movies, most notably Ad Astra and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, and Brad won an Oscar for the latter, for the best supporting actor.
