A Childhood Many Kids Only Dream Of
Steve and Pat didn’t know a lot about their new son’s biological parents. His dad was said to be native Hawaiian, and his mom was jailed in 1977 when Tenzin was just five months old. When Steve and Pat adopted Tenzin Amea they decided to rename him William Steven Tenzin Carter. The young child didn’t introduce himself as Tenzin anymore, he started going by Steve Jr. and his transition into his new and much wealthier New Jersey home went pretty smoothly. You can say he had the “normal” childhood many kids can only dream of, playing sports and having many friends.
