Si hay una pareja de celebridades que posiblemente merezca el trofeo como la más inspiradora son Kirk Douglas y su esposa de 65 años, Anne Buydens. Ambos son centenarios con Douglas a los 102 años y Buydens que cumplió 100 en abril de 2019.
Han compartido abiertamente sus secretos detrás de un matrimonio duradero a lo largo de los años y Douglas le dijo a Buydens que si alguna vez se iba, él haría lo mismo y se iría con ella. Tuvieron dos hijos juntos llamados Eric y Peter pero perdieron a Eric por una sobredosis de drogas en 2004. Peter siguió los pasos de sus padres para convertirse en productor de cine.
