Think about nutrition

Your hair loss is actually a sign of your diet is poor. It means that your body lacks certain nutrients so the scalp can’t hold your hair any longer. One primary cause of hair loss is the lack of protein since hair is primarily made of protein. That’s why you need to pay more attention to eating the right foods.

We recommend that you focus on eating protein and iron-rich diet. Doing so will provide you with the necessary nutrients to stimulate the growth of healthy hair. Therefore, load up your diet with fish, leafy veggies, and chicken. These foods are also rich in healthy fats that help trim down your body and lose weight without starving yourself.

Minoxidil

If you want some additional help through the aid of a medicinal drug, then Minoxidil is perfect for you. For those who didn’t know, this is known as Rogaine. In fact, Minoxidil is the only type of drug that has been approved by FDA to treat hair loss. As WebMD notes:

“Minoxidil belongs to a class of drugs known as vasodilators. Minoxidil solution and foam are used to help hair growth in the treatment of male pattern baldness. It is not used for baldness at the front of the scalp or receding hairline in men. The foam and 2 percent minoxidil solution are also used to help hair growth in women with thinning hair.”

Although the drug can be an excellent remedy for your hair loss, it has to be administered continually. When you stop using the medication, the condition continues. If you want to use the drug, use the 5 percent treatment two times per day, once in the morning and again in the evening. Massage it on your head thoroughly and let it sit for a while.

Oil massage

If you don’t want to use the drug above and prefer something more natural, then oil massage won’t fail you. Various oils such as coconut and castor oils can help promote hair growth. These oils improve the blood circulation around your scalp. When your scalp has more blood, it receives more nutrients, which boosts hair growth.  These oils also contain nutrients and minerals to help your hair shine brightly and grow stronger.

What’s also great with hair massage is that it relieves the stress and tension in your hair. Yes, you read it right! Even our hairs do get stressed. We already know how stress is destructive to our body . . . and our hair. Hair massage can relieve the stress in your hair and body. You can also incorporate it with deep breathing and meditation.

Hair Transplants

hair transplant

If you felt like all the natural remedies are not working anymore, then you can have a hair transplant. Hair transplant is the most drastic yet effective method in battling hair loss. A surgeon will remove some hair follicles in one area of your scalp and transplant it to the bald area. Although the transplanted hair will fall out quickly, it will induce natural hair growth again.

A hair transplant may seem the quickest and easiest way to retain your hair back, but you have to understand few things before committing to this surgery. First, hair transplant is very costly. Second, you need to know that health insurance companies don’t usually cover this kind of surgery. So if you really need to have a hair transplant, you must be prepared for the cost.

Aside from that, you need to understand that there will be some risks and side effects in conducting an operation. In the hair transplant’s case, it’s about itchy scalp and swelling.
