Apple is one of the biggest names in the tech industry and they have recently announced three new phones coming out. The iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X. The iPhone 8 is worth $699, the iPhone 8 Plus is $799, and the iPhone X is $999. We know what you’re thinking, who would ever spend that much money on a phone, but as it turns out a lot of people would. A lot of people wait in line for every single release of a new iPhone but during the release of the iPhone 8, it had fewer people than usual which means that people might be waiting for the release of the new iPhone X in November. Well, if you’re thinking of buying the new iPhone X then we think you should read this first. If you want a more detailed explanation of each phone’s click here.
The iPhone 8 and the 8 Plus Runs on the Same Processor as The iPhone X
The 3 phones are virtually powered by the same engine, so their performance is all identical. Sure, the newer model might have some new features, but under the hood, they are just as fast. They are all powered by the new A11 Bionic chip, a neural engine, and also by the M11 motion co-processor. So, the only thing different about these 3 phones is that the iPhone X has the new Face ID system while the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus only has the Touch ID. They are all running on the same operating system which is IOS 11, so whatever you can do on the iPhone X, you can also do on the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus.
We Don’t Know How Reliable is the New Face ID System
The Touch ID was first introduced back in 2013, with the release of the iPhone 5s. It lets you unlock your phone using your fingerprint, and also as a password. It is a nice feature that is one of the successful innovative ideas by the company. Face ID is another innovative idea that Apple has come up with, but everyone still has their doubts. It’s a new feature and not yet tested by the masses so we can’t really say if it’ll be successful. Apple claims that the new Face ID will be more secure than the Touch ID, will be still usable in the dark, and will still recognize your face even if you were some accessories or maybe grow facial hair.
All of Them Support Fast Charging and Wireless Charging
The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X all support the new Qi wireless-charging and fast charging. But the thing is, you would have to pay a little extra if you want to use these new charging methods. Well, you already bought a really expensive phone, so what’s spending a few more bucks for a better charging method, right? Apple has a lot of Qi wireless-charging pads, so for this equipment you’ll be spending somewhere around $25 to $75. For fast charging, you will need a Lightning-to-USB-C cable and a USB-C Power Delivery-compatible charger. If you’re shopping for a wireless charging pad for your new iPhone, then look no further.
Almost The Same Front and Back Camera
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have amazing front cameras that can boast 7-megapixel photos, have a ƒ/2.2 aperture, and film video in 1080p, and the only thing that the iPhone X and 8 Plus don’t have are some exclusive software features such as, a Portrait Mode for the front camera, Portrait Lighting which is basically lets you remove stuff from the background, the Animoji which will let you send emojis based on your facial expressions that speak using your voice. For the back camera, the 3 phones have almost the same features, but they changed the positions of the cameras. Some of the differences are that the iPhone 8 doesn’t have a second telephoto lens that helps the image quality even though you are zooming, and the iPhone X is the only phone out of the 3 that has optical image stabilization for wide-angle and telephoto shots which means sharper images even in low-light settings.
The iPhone X is More Expensive Than the iPhone 8
The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X are priced at $699, $799, and $999, which are all really expensive if you think about it. Yes, the iPhone X has some features that aren’t on the 8 and the 8 Plus, but is it really worth the $200? You’ll be able to save $200 by getting the 8 Plus, or $300 if you get the 8, which are both really great phones.
